Description
Bigo is one of the most spectacular attractions inside the Old Harbour Area: A panoramic lift climbing 40 meters high and offering visitors a view of the harbour and the city from a decidedly unusual perspective.
Designed by Architect Renzo Piano, it gets its name and shape from the cranes that were once used to load goods onto and off vessels inside Genoa harbour. While going up, the cabin of this lift-crane performs a 360-degree rotation, giving everyone on board a chance to enjoy the view. Written panels displayed inside the cabin are there to guide you through the city views, and a multi-language recording highlights the main buildings and prominent places of interest.
