Description

Embark on an unforgettable voyage into the heart of the Pelagos Sanctuary and unlock the secrets of the ocean's most magnificent inhabitants. Join a specialized marine excursion, guided by an expert biologist, as you journey far out into the vast open sea. This deeper exploration vastly improves your chances of encountering these awe-inspiring whales and dolphins in their natural environment.

Embark on an unforgettable adventure from Genoa's historic Porto Antico (Calata Mandraccio) on a 4-hour cetacean quest! Just a quick 30-minute cruise into the open sea, and we'll be in prime sighting territory at depths of 1000-1500 meters. That's when the real adventure begins! Our expert crew will lead the search, with a marine biologist onboard to share fascinating insights. Need information in English or German? No problem! We can provide a guide to delve into the amazing lives of these creatures and answer all your questions. While sightings are possible year-round, we've chosen April to October for our excursions to take advantage of the generally calmer weather. Plus, the months before peak season often boast less shipping traffic, potentially improving our chances! Our trips run even with a smaller group of passengers, ensuring the experience is intimate and enjoyable. Join us on Sundays in April, May, and October. From June to September, we set sail on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, always departing from Genoa's Porto Antico at 1:00 PM. A word of caution: Searching for whales and dolphins in the Pelagos Sanctuary requires patience and a keen eye. Remember, we're observing wild animals in their natural habitat. There's no guaranteed timetable or location for encounters. Be prepared for a few hours of sailing – the reward of witnessing these magnificent creatures in their element is truly worth it! For the best chance of spotting these animals, calm seas and windless days are ideal, making it easier to see them when they surface for air.
