Description
Genoa Aquarium tickets for Italy's largest aquatic zoo: more than 70 tanks, penguins, sharks and seals, plus the dolphins of the Cetacean Pavilion.
With Genoa Aquarium tickets you walk into a building put up for the Genoa Expo '92, now home to over 5,000 animals of 400 different species. You pick the entry slot when you book, and the visit is on your own, with no guide.
Over 70 tanks lead you from the cold waters of the Antarctic, where the penguins live, to the bright fish of the coral reefs. Sharks, seals and jellyfish share the route, and visitors with impaired vision find the information in Braille.
- Cetacean Pavilion, a Renzo Piano design, where bottlenose dolphins swim in four outdoor pools
- Antarctic section with the penguins
- Tanks of sharks, seals, jellyfish and coral fish
The aquarium also explains the conservation programs it takes part in. Lifts make the building accessible to wheelchair users.
When you book you can add a lunch: a sandwich with chips, street food or focaccia. All three are optional, and the ticket alone covers the entry.
