This Genoa Aquarium and FantaCinema ticket joins two very different visits: a trip under the sea and a trip through the history of fantasy films.
At the Aquarium of Genoa, the largest in Italy, you will find Ligurian Sea species, North Atlantic wildlife and Caribbean reef dwellers in their tanks, while dolphins, penguins and sea cows have habitats of their own, and the displays range from the Ligurian Sea to tropical waters.
Then the mood shifts at FantaCinema, an exhibition tracing the rise of fantasy on screen. Rooms are filled with original props, memorabilia, sculptures, press cuttings and posters, and soundtracks from cult films play as you walk. Among the cult objects are the time machine used by Zemeckis in Back to the Future and costumes worn in Alien and Star Wars, with whole sections given over to Harry Potter and Game of Kings.
